| Sept. 28, 2009

mapspread was put to the test this weekend as citizen from Philippines used social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to post cries for help.
It is the first time mapspread is used in an emergency situation - we will post a screencast shortly showing how mapspread can help during such an event.
Meanwhile, please consider a donation to help the victims of this tragedy.

mapspread now live

| June 8, 2009

mapspread is now live and we started accepting sign-ups today.

What is mapspread?
mapspread is a web-based tool that lets you import data from spreadsheets, share it with other users and then publish to the web as an application or feed.

Who can benefit?
Businesses and organizations that need to centrally manage public geo data. For example a company can use mapspread to manage a map showing their stores' locations. Once your data is imported you can publish it back as KML, GeoJSON or GeoRSS feeds.

What's so cool about it?
mapspread is the only tool that lets you collaboratively edit your own geo-data. No database, no GIS or programming needed.

And this really is just the beginning. Follow us on Twitter for weekly updates!
